Lohri Celebrations

The sound of dhol is in the air, so dance to the beats and share and care. May the rhythms keep you always happy, this we wish for you on Lohri!

Lohri marks the onset of prosperity and euphoria and is an extremely popular festival celebrated in North India. It is a harvest festival that also signifies the end of chilling winter cold.

To keep the tradition and culture alive, Lohri was celebrated at Cambridge International School in both Online and Offline modes. A special virtual assembly on Lohri was organized by the students of Grade V on 12.01.2024 stating the significance of the festival through speeches, poems, and few dazzled the celebrations with bhangra and gidda performances to some enchanting and vibrant Punjabi traditional folk songs.

The Kindergarten Wing celebrated the festival as they turned up
dressed in vibrant attires validating true spirits of festivity. The students made colourful posters, kites, bonfire craft and seed mosaic activity to celebrate the occasion.

The assembly and Celebrations ended with the wish that May Lohri fire burn all the sadness and brings joy, happiness and love for everyone.
